“The Triumph of Love”

Holy Week Services

In the week leading up to Easter Sunday there are several special opportunities to gather in worship and praise of God. Each of these services tells a different part of Christ’s last week leading up to and including the cross. Prayerfully consider adding the following services to your calendar:
●       Maundy Thursday (March 28, 2024): At 7 PM on Thursday, March 28 all are invited to gather in the sanctuary (and on Zoom) to celebrate the sacrament of holy communion and hear the story of Jesus’ last meal with friends, and of his betrayal and arrest.

●       Good Friday (March 29, 2024): At 10:30 AM on Friday, March 29, we’ll be joining our friends at Saint David’s United Church in Rothesay for a shared Good Friday service.

●       Sunrise Easter Service (March 31, 2024): At 6:55 AM on Sunday, March 31  you are invited to join Rev. Ian at Meenan’s Cove as we greet the risen son in the light of the rising sun.

●       Special Easter Service (March 31, 2024): We'll then gather for worship at 10 AM on Sunday, March 31 to celebrate the miracle of Christ’s resurrection!

Vision Statement

Our vision is to share and implement our core values within our church family, our local community, and the world at large, using media that is relevant to all generations.

We declare our commitment to creating a community where all people are welcome regardless of age, gender, race, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, differing abilities, ethnic background or economic circumstance.

All persons are welcome to take part in every aspect of church life including membership, leadership, celebrating life passages, baptism, and marriage.

We celebrate the richness that diversity brings to our church, even as it challenges us to walk down roads we have not yet traveled. We pray for God’s spirit to guide us as we work for reconciliation and justice for all persons in both church and society.

Our Core Values

We believe in God as known through Jesus Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit, and we strive to live by the example Jesus set.

We value a welcoming, inclusive, nurturing church community and we work to show this through support for each other, our social interaction and wise stewardship of our resources.

We believe we share responsibility for the welfare of our world and all that God created.

Music is a moving force in our congregation.

We value our children and youth and prepare them for the future through our ministry with them while they challenge us to see ourselves through their eyes.

We believe that God’s message is as relevant today as it has been through history and should be communicated in ways that speak to our diverse community about issues that are meaningful now.

Come and experience this community for yourself, and lets journey with Christ together!
